Sinharaja Bio-Diversity

DISCOVERING THE EBB AND FLOW
OF LIFE AT SINHARAJA FOREST

Nestled in serenity, the verdant expanse of the Sinharaja Forest is graced by abundant wildlife — the canopies pulsate with energy and different species of life, a testament to the forest’s flourishing biome. A host of threatened and endangered species find refuge within the sanctuary, making the forest a living repository of an ecosystem unique to the world. Excellent for studying habits of bird flocks, the thick vegetation is found all across the rolling ridges and valleys of the reserve, with much in the way of endemic plant and animal life – being one of the biggest reasons for its declaration as a UNESCO BIosphere Reserve and eventually World Heritage Site.
