Mammals of Sri Lanka

PREY AND PREDATOR THRIVE IN THE DEEPS OF THE JUNGLE

The Sinharaja Forest contains nearly half of all the mammalian species in Sri Lanka, home to a few arboreal species as well as rare ones. Lucky observers and patient wildlife photographers alike will be thrilled to witness the herds of elephants, elusive leopards, and more, be it via the digital lens or through the bestial clamor that echoes in the trees. Other examples of wildcats found in this reserve are the Rusty-spotted cat, fishing cat, and the occasional family of strong bulls roaming around the tall grasses.

FROM CREATURES THAT PROWL IN THE TREES, TO HERDS OF MAGNIFICENT BEASTS.
