Terms & Conditions

1. ACCOMMODATION:

The Rainforest Ecolodge at Enselwatte, Deniyaya

2. TRANSPORT AND PARKING:

The location of the property is over rugged terrain, and therefore, combined transport is four-wheel drive is provided for an adventure ride from the estate entrance (secure parking) to the ecolodge. Guests are responsible for the safety and security of their own vehicles.

3. KEY INFORMATION:

a) The property is located 8.8 km away from the nearest town, with an elevation of approximately 1000 feet above sea level.
b) The stay at the property is not recommended for those with pressing health issues, as the Deniyaya Base Hospital, the nearest hospital, is 13.3 km away (48 minutes by vehicle).
c) Basic first aid is available at the property.
d) The property borders ‘The Sinharaja Rainforest’ and may have occasional visits from wildlife. Feeding or harming wild animals is strictly prohibited.
e) Guests are also requested to preserve nature as it is and avoid polluting or damaging the environment.

4. MEALS:

A set menu option will be available for dining. For specific dietary arrangements, please contact (contact no: +94 766 900 900) prior to arrival.

5. TEMPERATURE AT THE BUNGALOW AND FACILITIES:

a) Towels, blankets/duvets, and fans are available in each room.
b) The average daytime temperature is 24°C, and nighttime temperature can be below 20°C. Guests are advised to supplement additional requirements for linen if needed.

6. CANCELLATION POLICY:

a) Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to the scheduled arrival date are eligible for a refund, minus any applicable bank charges, or the amount can be used for a future stay.
b) For cancellations made less than 30 days before the scheduled arrival date, 100% of the total booking amount will be charged as a cancellation fee. However, if the cancellation is due to a valid reason and the required proof documents are submitted, a refund may be considered at the discretion of management.

7. LOSS OR DAMAGE TO PROPERTY:

a) In the unfortunate event of any damage incurred to the property, guests will be held responsible.
b) Guests are advised to secure and keep safe all personal belongings. The management of the property will not be responsible for any loss or damage caused to guests or their property unless arising from the negligence of the property staff.

8. EXCURSIONS:

While the property offers a wide range of high-quality and unique rainforest experiences, it is important to acknowledge that these immersive activities come with inherent risks. Guests undertake excursions/activities at their own risk, and the management of the property cannot be held liable for any accidents or incidents that may occur. We encourage guests to exercise preparation, caution, and be aware of their surroundings to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

9. CHILD POLICY:

a) Children above the age of 11 are considered adults for booking purposes.
b) To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all our guests, we kindly ask that children under the age of 6 do not visit the property. The hotel cannot be held responsible for any incidents arising from the violation of this policy.
